Turkish colleagues at a meeting with the rector "NMU" G. Pivnjak
From 6 till 13 November 2011 Department of Underground Mining was visited by professors of Hacettepe University (Turkey) Levent Ergun - chairmen of Coal Cleaning Department and Ozdzhan Hulzoy - Head of Mining Engineering Department. The purpose of the visit was the establishment of direct relations concerning cooperation and joint appraisal surveys and applied researches; improvement of academic programs and the educational process; organization of mutual students, postgraduates, Ph.D candidates and lecturers' probation, joint textbooks and monographs publication. There were a lot of different meetings held with leaders of NMU, scientific and pedagogic staff of underground mining, mineral processing, transportation systems and technologies departments during this visit. 
There were also business trips to Poltava's mining complex and Pavlograd's coal-preparation plant. Also association agreement between Hacettepe University and NMU was signed. Ukrainian-Turkish REC "Mining engineering" was established. It was done by both rectors' orders according to Ukrainian law "About higher education". The main purpose of the creation of the Center was providing scientific researches with systemacity; enhancing of mutual methodological impact on the organization and conduction of NMU and the University of Hacettepee researches; development and implementation of effective technologies to perform underground mining; concentration and effective use of scientific resources, deepening the meaning of disciplines teaching by providing mutual mobility of scientists of NMU and the University of Hacettepe; re-qualification and advanced training of professionals with higher education in the field of mining. |
