Freshman day at NMU
Six teams of 10 members each competed, demonstrating a high level of singing, dancing and acting. Talented freshmen were presented by Mining Institute, Institute of Power Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Economics, Faculty of Law and combined team of Faculty of construction and Faculty of Geological Prospecting. Young, bright and creative they impressed the audience that completely filled the assembly hall of the University. The jury faced complicated task, because without exaggeration these young talents can outgo professional singers, actors or dancers. This year's freshmen creative skills were estimated by competent jury, comprising of NMU graduates – Volodimir Kurgan (a graduate of the Faculty of Mining, captain of KVK team «Generetaion π», well known radio presenter), Alexei Ivanov (graduate of the Faculty of construction , a former KVK player, Associate Professor of Mathematics NMU) Yuri Marchanchyn (graduate of the Institute of Economics, an active participant of the university life, captain of KVK team "PartyZan", Alex Avdievs'ky (graduate of the Institute of Electricity, member of KVK team "Inveterate electrician" and now presenter on DOTRK) Dmitry Humeniuk (graduate of the Electrical Engineering Faculty, member of KVK team "Inveterate electrician"), Natalia V. Lutsenko (Director of Cultural and Educational Center). There was no defeated this evening, but the jury could not fail to note the original duet performed by the combined team of Faculty of construction and Faculty of Geological Prospecting - Nicholay Nariyevskoho and Anastasia Vorobyov, original genre "Light box" (Anastasia Filenko, Artem Artemiev and Kirill Sorokin). In the appearance of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering especially remembered song "Ice Fragment" performed by Violet Suvertok, stem "Ocharovatelnie dvoyky" performed by Valerie Bozhkov and Christina Babkevych. This department also marked by the best modern dance in contemp style which was performed by Valeria Bozhkova and Stanislav Maslovsky and best presenter, which became Jana Kuleshova. Boys and girls received certificates and gifts in the memory of participation in this show. All six faculties can be proud of its creative, intelligent and interesting students who have proven their commitment to the university.
Bright and magical celebration lasted until the evening, and its members proved once again that at the National Mining University are studying extraordinary and interesting personalities.
